In the United States, Section 230 shields platforms from liability for what users post, so removal runs on platform policy, copyright (DMCA), privacy, and, where a court has ruled, defamation orders. Many states now restrict mugshot sites and give people a route to have booking photos removed. Canada adds PIPEDA and a developing right to de-index. US clients contract with Content Removal LLC in Miami.
Europe
The GDPR right to erasure and Google's EU de-listing process give people in Europe a route the US lacks, and the UK Defamation Act 2013 keeps a "serious harm" test that shapes publisher negotiations. Switzerland and Liechtenstein carry strong personality-rights protections; Ireland hosts the European operations of most major platforms, which matters for escalation.
Offshore Wealth Centers
Content about principals in the Caymans, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the BVI is usually published elsewhere: leak sites, forums and financial press hosted in the US or UK. Removal follows the law of the host and the searcher, so these cases are run through US platform policy, UK defamation and EU erasure routes in parallel.
Middle East & Asia-Pacific
UAE Federal Decree-Law 34 of 2021 on cybercrime and Saudi and Qatari equivalents treat defamation and privacy breaches seriously, which changes how hosts and publishers respond. Australia's Defamation Act reforms added a serious-harm threshold and a public-interest defence; New Zealand's Harmful Digital Communications Act provides a direct takedown route. Singapore's POHA covers harassment and doxxing. Leverage FZE, the firm's UAE entity, contracts Gulf engagements.
