Impersonators trade on the trust you built

The more people know your name, the more it is worth to someone else. Founders, coaches, creators and executives are copied for one reason: their audience trusts them. A fake profile messages your followers with an 'exclusive investment', a cloned page runs giveaways that collect card details, a Telegram channel sells a 'private mentorship' you have never heard of. Every victim believes it was you.

The damage lands on your name, not the scammer's. Victims post about being scammed by you, leave reviews against your real business and open complaints with your payment provider. Left alone, impersonation turns into the Reddit threads and 'scam' pages that rank for your name a few months later.

Removed at the source, then kept off

Every platform has its own impersonation process and its own evidence standard, and generic reports from friends and followers are usually ignored. We document each account, file through the right channel with the evidence that platform actually acts on, and escalate when first-line moderation stalls.

Impersonators come back with a new handle the same week, so the work does not stop at the first takedown. Monitoring catches the replacement accounts and lookalike domains early, while it is one profile instead of twenty. For brands facing counterfeits as well, see brand protection; for whole cloned websites, see website takedown.

Who we protect from impersonation

Most of our impersonation work is for founders, coaches and course creators, creators and executives, people whose face and name sell, and whose audience is large enough to be worth scamming. We also handle fake executive profiles used to target staff and investors, which is often the first sign of a wider fraud attempt.

Start with a confidential assessment. Send us the accounts you have found, and we will map the ones you have not, tell you honestly what can come down and how quickly, and quote it in writing before anything starts.

Frequently asked questions

Can you remove a fake Instagram or Facebook account pretending to be me?
Usually, yes. Impersonation breaks the rules of every major platform. The difference between a report that gets ignored and one that gets actioned is the evidence and the channel it goes through, which is what we handle.
Someone is using my name to scam my followers. What should I do first?
Warn your audience once from your real accounts, do not engage with the impersonator, and screenshot everything, including the messages victims send you. Then send us the links. Speed matters, because every day the account stays up it reaches more people.
What about fake accounts on Telegram and WhatsApp?
Both are common for 'mentor' and investment scams, and both can be reported through their own processes. We also target the links, ads and profiles that push people into those channels, so the scam loses its traffic.
Do I need a trademark to remove impersonators?
No. Platforms remove accounts that pretend to be a real person regardless of trademarks. A registered mark helps for brand pages, marketplaces and domains, and we will tell you if it would make your case stronger.
They keep coming back with new accounts. Can you stop that?
Repeat impersonators are normal, which is why our Protection Plans include monitoring. New accounts are caught and filed against while they are still small.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Every engagement is covered by NDA. Public 'removed by' fields show Content Removal, not you.
